Today, Stephen Hunter has retired from his day job. I wish you well in your golden years, Steve – though I also wish you’d step up the pace for those novels. Maybe three a year?

Good news for us Hunter fans: he’s accepted an early retirement buyout offer from the Washington Post. He had told me via email a couple of weeks ago that he was considering it, and that it would allow him to write a book a year rather than every two years.
